Job Description : GM UGANDA A senior leadership position reporting to the Chairman & Board, responsible for end-to-end plant operations, business growth, and operational efficiency. Job Loc - Uganda Salary - Tax Free Salary + Local Allowance + Expat Benefits Expat Benefits - Family Status + Transport + Utilities + 30 Days Paid Leave Yearly etc. Oversee daily plant operations and overall business performance Develop growth strategies, policies, and processes Manage budgets and cost optimization Lead recruitment, training, and employee performance management Improve operational efficiency and financial outcomes Supervise core functions: finance, HR, procurement, and operations Ensure health & safety compliance Prepare reports for Board and Chairman Resolve issues like profit decline, workforce conflicts, and competition challenges Strong hands-on knowledge of: Double pass regenerative furnace (50+ ton capacity) Gasifiers (coal, wood, furnace oil, briquettes) Raw materials: soda ash + sand/quartz Dissolving plant operations Solid batching processes Production scale: ~30,000 tons annually Candidate Profile 2023 years of experience Prior roles: GM / Plant Head / Factory Manager Strong in planning, budgeting, and analytics Excellent leadership and organizational skills Experience in African markets (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda) is a plus
