Job Description : General Manager – CNC Machine Shop Open to qualified International candidates Location: Worthing, UK We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our CNC machine shop. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep technical knowledge of CNC machining processes, and a proven track record in managing production, quality, and team performance. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the 9 CNC machine shop to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, machinists, and support staff Plan and optimize production schedules to meet customer deadlines Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies Monitor machine performance, maintenance schedules, and equipment utilization Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency Manage budgets, cost control, and resource allocation Coordinate with sales, procurement, and design teams to ensure smooth workflow Maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers Requirements: 18+ years of experience in CNC machining or manufacturing operations Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high-precision or high-volume manufacturing environments Strong financial and business acumen
