Job Description : Plant Manager NIGERIA 15+ years experience Department: Operations & Manufacturing Reports To: Managing Director Location: Isolo, Lagos Employment Type: Permanent 1. Role Summary The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, efficiency, compliance, and performance of manufacturing operations across all product lines, including LPG cylinders, gas cookers, iron sitters, and standing ovens. The role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, ERP integration, ISO system maintenance, and cost control aligned with company growth objectives. 2. Production & Operations Management · Oversee daily plant operations and ensure achievement of production targets. · Manage production planning and scheduling across all product categories. · Monitor machine efficiency, downtime, and throughput. · Optimize manpower, materials, and machinery utilization. · Ensure on-time order fulfillment. 3. ERP & Systems Implementation (Odoo Manufacturing) · Lead full implementation and continuous improvement of the Odoo Manufacturing (MRP) system. · Ensure accurate: · Bills of Materials (BOMs) · Routing structures · Work centers · Production scheduling · Shop-floor reporting · Drive ERP adoption among supervisors and operators. · Maintain production data integrity and traceability. · Utilize dashboards to monitor KPIs including: · Output vs target · Machine uptime · Scrap rate · Cost per unit 4. ISO & Standards Compliance · Maintain and improve compliance with: · ISO 9001 (Quality Management) · ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) · ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) · NIS 69:2013 (LPG Cylinder Standard) · Lead internal audits and coordinate external certification audits. · Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented. · Ensure zero major non-conformities during audits. 5. Quality & Regulatory Control · Ensure compliance with SON and MANCAP requirements. · Oversee: · Hydrostatic tests · Burst tests · Welding quality control · Coating and finishing standards · Maintain calibration records for all testing equipment. 6. Maintenance & Engineering · Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs. · Minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. · Ensure availability of critical spare parts. 7. Documentation & Reporting Governance · Maintain accurate documentation including: · Production reports · Quality inspection records · Maintenance logs · HSE reports · ISO audit documentation · Calibration certificates · Ensure full raw material and finished goods traceability. · Submit structured weekly and monthly performance reports to Management. 8. Cost & Performance Management · Monitor production cost per unit. · Reduce scrap, rework, and operational waste. · Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. · Improve overall plant efficiency and profitability. 9. Leadership & Team Management · Supervise engineers, supervisors, technicians, and operators. · Conduct performance reviews and training programs. · Maintain discipline and productivity. · Promote a strong safety culture 10.
