Job Description : TECHNO COMMERCIAL MANAGER SIERRA LEONE Techno-Commercial Manager Jolaks Manufacturing Company Limited is a forward-thinking organization committed to delivering quality products and innovative solutions in the manufacturing sector of Palm Oil and Soap. We aim to create a working environment where employees can thrive and contribute to the companys success. l Production & Process Optimization: Oversee refining (neutralization, bleaching, deodorization) and soap manufacturing processes to maximize yield and efficiency while minimizing waste. l Procurement and Supply Chain: Manage the sourcing of Crude Palm Oil (CPO), caustic soda, and additives, negotiating with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and a consistent supply. l Quality Management & Compliance: Ensure products meet ISO, HACCP, and food safety standards (for edible oil) and product performance specifications (for soap). l Techno-Commercial Proposals: Develop and present technical proposals, product specifications, and cost-benefit analyses for existing and prospective industrial customers. l Market Analysis & Business Growth: Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies to identify new business opportunities in industrial or retail segments. l Customer Relationship Management (B2B): Act as the technical contact for customers, providing guidance on product application, resolving complaints, and maintaining long-term partnerships. l Financial Accountability: Prepare sales forecasts, manage budgets, control manufacturing costs, and support procurement to ensure healthy margins. l Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. An MBA or similar commercial qualification is a strong advantage. l Experience: 10–12 years of progressive experience, with at least 5 years in a techno-commercial role within the oil refining, soap/detergent manufacturing, or edible oil sector. l Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of vegetable oil refining technology, hydrogenation, fractionation, soap making technology, and fatty acid processing. l Commercial Acumen: Proven experience in B2B sales, procurement, and contracting within the petrochemical or FMCG sector. l Certifications: Certifications in quality management (ISO/HACCP) or professional supply chain management are a plus. l Negotiation & Contract Management: High proficiency in negotiating contracts and pricing. l Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends and process data to improve profitability. l Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration (technical teams, sales, logistics, and procurement).
