Expatriate Chief Security Officer

Job Description : Expatriate Chief Security Officer (CSO) Location: Nigeria The Chief Security Officer is responsible for developing and executing the organization's overall security strategy, covering physical, operational, and information security. The role ensures effective risk management, regulatory compliance, crisis response, and business continuity while aligning security initiatives with business objectives. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement security strategy, policies, and risk management frameworks • Conduct threat assessments and monitor geopolitical and security risks • Establish and maintain a Security Management System (aligned with IFC standards). • Oversee physical security operations, access control, and guard force management. Implement security protocols and coordinate investigations into incidents.. • Maintain intelligence networks with security agencies and stakeholders. • Lead crisis management planning and emergency response frameworks. • Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans. • Coordinate with emergency services and relevant stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with Nigerian laws, free zone regulations, and security standards. • Manage relationships with law enforcement, military, and regulatory bodies. • Oversee background checks, vetting processes, and security training programs • Promote organization-wide security awareness. Requirements and Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field. • Master's degree is an added advantage. • Professional certifications (CPP, PSP, CSC). • Minimum 15 years of security experience, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles. • Experience in high-security environments (free zones, ports, airports, industrial complexes). Background in military, law enforcement, or intelligence services is an advantage. • Strategic thinking and leadership. • Crisis management and decision-making under pressure. • Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
