Job Description : CFO GCC Chief Financial Officer — Energy & Utilities Location: Middle East (GCC) A private investment vehicle is completing the acquisition of an energy and utilities asset in the GCC. On close, a new operating company will be established — and this CFO will be there from day one. This is a rare opportunity for a hands-on finance leader to build something from the ground up: setting the foundations, shaping the function, and owning the numbers in a lean and commercially driven environment. If you've spent your career in large corporate finance teams, this probably isn't for you. If you've thrived in asset-level or entrepreneurial settings where you've had to roll up your sleeves and make things work — read on. Leading the financial setup and transition of a newly established GCC operating entity Building and owning all core finance systems, controls and reporting processes Ensuring full GCC regulatory and compliance requirements are met (VAT, Zakat, statutory reporting) Overseeing cash management, treasury and liquidity planning Serving as the financial point of contact for the Board, investors and external advisors A proven CFO or senior finance leader from the energy, utilities or infrastructure sector Hands-on experience setting up or rebuilding a finance function — not just inheriting one Strong working knowledge of GCC regulatory and compliance frameworks Based in the Middle East or with a clear track record and appetite to relocate Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable operating without big-corporate infrastructure Prior experience in a PE or investment-backed operating company is a strong plus
