About the Company A fast-growing distribution company with a strong footprint across Uganda and East Africa, specializing in importation, assembly, and distribution of high-volume products (motorcycles & spare parts). The company serves a wide dealer and retail network and is building a high-performance finance team to support its expansion. ???? Role Summary The Senior Accountant will ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records, oversee daily accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and ensure full compliance with statutory and tax regulations, while mentoring junior staff. ???? Key Responsibilities * Review general ledger & enforce financial controls * Manage fixed assets (register, depreciation, verification) * Oversee receivables, collections & debtor management * Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual financial reports * Support budgeting, forecasting & financial analysis * Ensure tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, WHT) & statutory filings (URA, NSSF) * Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff ? Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (mandatory) * ACCA or CPA (Level II or fully qualified preferred) * 10+ years’ experience (distribution/manufacturing/trading preferred) * Strong knowledge of IFRS & Ugandan tax laws * SAP experience is an added advantage * Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) ????
