Job Description : FINANCE AND ACCOUNTS MANAGER KINGSTON JAMAICA The Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis is responsible for leading the preparation, accuracy, and integrity of the organization’s financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role oversees statutory and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and provides high-quality financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making. This position plays a critical role in strengthening financial governance, improving reporting processes, and ensuring timely, compliant financial information for senior management, regulators, auditors, and stakeholders. Financial Reporting & Compliance: · Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. · Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and statutory reporting requirements. · Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders. · Maintain and continuously improve internal financial controls and reporting processes. · Review complex accounting treatments and prepare technical accounting papers where required. Budgeting & Forecasting: · Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with business and operational leaders. · Prepare rolling forecasts, variance analyses, and scenario models. · Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions. · Provide clear, actionable financial insights to senior management. Financial Analysis & Decision Support: · Deliver high?quality management reports with meaningful commentary and analysis. · Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and profitability assessments. · Evaluate financial implications of new products, investments, or operational changes. Data Integrity & Systems: · Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data across systems. · Drive enhancements in reporting tools, templates, and automation using advanced Excel/ financial models. · Partner with operations and IT to improve finance systems and data flows. Collaboration and Teamwork: · Collaborate effectively with finance and cross-functional team members, providing support and sharing expertise to contribute to broader departmental and organizational objectives. Education · Post graduate degree: Postgraduate degree in related areas such as Finance would be an asset. · ACCA/CPA · Work experience: 15years post?qualification experience in financial reporting, preferably within financial services, investments, or regulated entities. · Proven experience preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements and managing audits. · Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. · Excellent knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards. · Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis capabilities. · Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial models, reconciliations, analysis). · Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This has no direct reports. Core Competencies · Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership. · Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance audiences including regulators and auditors. · Adaptability & Prioritisation: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict reporting deadlines. · Relationship Building: Proven capacity to build effective working relationships with internal teams and external parties including auditors, regulators, and counterparts across the business. · Integrity & Professionalism: Maintains high standards of confidentiality and professional conduct in all aspects of the role.
