20 yearsJob Description : HEAD OF SALES TANZANIA FOR COSMETICS 15-20 years experience 1. POSITION OVERVIEW The HOD Sales & Marketing will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of the companys cosmetic division. This role oversees a vast export network covering over 25 countries, requiring a candidate who can balance high-level international trade strategy with hands-on team management. 2. KEY REQUIREMENTS Education: MBA in Marketing, International Business Management, or any other Post Graduate degree. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of professional experience (Mandatory). Industry Expertise: Extensive strategic sales background in the Cosmetic or FMCG industries, characterized by a successful track record of managing complex distribution networks and multi-national portfolios. Geographic Expertise: Extensive experience managing distributor channels across the African continent (Preferable). Gender & Age Band: Male candidate, within the age bracket of 3545 years. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and ERP software. Personal Attributes: Strong leadership, negotiation skills, and a willingness to travel extensively to regional and export markets. 3. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership & Market Expansion Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve annual volume objectives and expand the distribution network. Formulate and implement strategies for new product launches and market entry. Conduct competitor analysis and review market share to keep the company abreast of trends. Propose and implement sales support activities and promotional schemes to close new leads. Export & Distribution Management Manage the full sales cycle for local and international customers across 25+ nations. Identify issues within the regional distributor network and take decisive corrective actions. Capture and oversee orders from distributors via email, telephone, or WhatsApp to ensure timely dispatch. Coordinate with C&F agents and shipping lines to assist with container bookings and logistics. Operations & Supply Chain Coordination Extrapolate sales demand based on historical trends to plan inventory effectively with the Inventory Manager. Coordinate weekly SKU production planning with the production team. Supervise logistics, transporters, and Finished Goods (FG) warehouse management. Team Management Manage a diverse team including Route Salesmen, Merchandisers, Loading Supervisors, and Godown staff. Ensure optimum utilization of manpower and monitor performance against targets.
