Job Description : Head, Corporate Affairs Location: Lagos, Nigeria Reports To: MD/CEO Role Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Head of Corporate Affairs to lead stakeholder engagement, government relations, and corporate communications within the oil and gas sector. This role is critical in shaping the company’s reputation, ensuring regulatory alignment, and maintaining its license to operate through strategic engagement with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies across government, regulators, host communities, and industry bodies Lead government and regulatory relations to secure approvals and influence policy Drive corporate communications, media relations, and brand positioning Manage reputational, political, and operational risks, including crisis communication Support Nigerian Content compliance and local value initiatives Lead ESG, sustainability, and social investment programs Monitor policy and regulatory developments, providing strategic advisory to leadership Lead and develop the Corporate Affairs team while ensuring cross-functional collaboration Oversee budget, performance metrics, and reporting Requirements: Minimum of 15+ years’ experience in Corporate Affairs, Communications, or External Relations within the oil & gas sector Strong experience engaging with government, regulators, and key stakeholders Proven track record in reputation management, policy advocacy, and crisis management Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills Key Competencies: Strategic advisory, stakeholder management, branding & reputation management, crisis management, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
