Job Description : Head – Formulations OSD R&D DENMARK Open to International candidates CTC circa Euro 275,000 We are seeking a visionary and accomplished R&D leader to head the Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) Formulations function for a reputed pharmaceutical organization. This role will be responsible for driving innovation, complex product development, regulatory strategy, and building a high-performing R&D ecosystem aligned with global market requirements. Strategic Leadership • Lead and drive the overall OSD R&D strategy, aligned with business and global expansion goals • Build and scale a robust product pipeline across regulated and emerging markets (US, EU, ROW) • Identify opportunities in complex generics, NDDS, and value-added formulations Product Development & Execution • Oversee end-to-end development of OSD formulations from pre-formulation to commercialization • Ensure timely execution of projects with strong focus on quality, cost, and timelines • Drive development of challenging molecules including modified release, controlled release, and niche dosage forms Regulatory & Compliance • Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards (USFDA, EMA, MHRA, WHO) • Lead dossier strategy including ANDA, 505(b)(2), and global filings • Address regulatory queries and support audits/inspections Technology & Innovation • Champion innovation in formulation technologies and process optimization • Introduce advanced delivery systems and continuous improvement initiatives • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Analytical, QA, RA, Manufacturing, Business Development) People & Stakeholder Management • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing R&D team • Partner with senior leadership to align R&D with business growth and portfolio strategy • Engage with external partners, CROs, and technology providers ? PhD / M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) from a reputed institution ? 20+ years of experience in OSD Formulations R&D ? Proven leadership experience as Head / VP – R&D (OSD) in reputed pharma organizations ? Strong track record in regulated markets (US/EU) filings and approvals ? Expertise in complex generics, NDDS, and lifecycle management ? Deep understanding of QbD, scale-up, tech transfer, and commercialization ? Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Competencies ? Experience in handling large R&D teams and multi-site operations ? Strong exposure to innovation-driven product development ? Excellent communication and global stakeholder engagement skills
