Job Description : WORKSHOP MAAGER UGANDA AGRI We are seeking an experienced Manager Workshop (Agriculture) to lead and manage workshop operations for maintenance and repair of farming equipment and heavy vehicle machinery. The role requires strong technical expertise, team leadership, and a focus on operational efficiency and equipment reliability. 1. Workshop Operations Management Oversee daily workshop activities, ensuring smooth functioning and timely repairs. Plan and allocate resources for preventive and corrective maintenance. Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules for all agricultural and heavy machinery. 2. Equipment Maintenance & Repair Manage maintenance of tractors, harvesters, loaders, and other farming equipment. Handle repair and servicing of heavy vehicles and machinery. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and ensure quick resolution. 3. Team Leadership Lead, train, and supervise a team of technicians and mechanics. Ensure high productivity, discipline, and safety compliance within the workshop. Conduct regular performance reviews and skill development initiatives. 4. Inventory & Spare Parts Management Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components. Coordinate with procurement for timely sourcing of parts and materials. Optimize inventory cost while maintaining operational efficiency. 5. Safety & Compliance Ensure all workshop activities comply with safety standards and regulations. Implement best practices for safe handling of tools and machinery. Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness. 6. Cost Control & Reporting Monitor maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Prepare MIS reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and reliability. Qualifications & Skills: Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 18+ years of experience in maintenance of equipment and heavy vehicle machinery. Strong knowledge of tractors, harvesters, hydraulic systems, and diesel engines. Proven experience in workshop management and team handling. Good problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
