Utilities Engineer

Job Description : Utilities Engineer – Pharma (HVAC, Water, Steam, Compressed Air) Location: Saudi Arabia, Madinah We are seeking a Utilities Engineer to manage and operate critical utility systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the continuous, compliant, and efficient operation of all GMP utilities supporting production. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain HVAC systems (cleanroom AHUs, pressure cascade, HEPA systems) - Manage purified water systems (RO, EDI/UV, storage & distribution loops) - Oversee steam systems (boilers, steam distribution, traps) - Ensure reliability of compressed air systems (oil-free compressors, dryers, dew point control) - Monitor system performance and troubleshoot failures - Execute and improve preventive maintenance programs - Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, SOPs, and documentation - Support audits, qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ), and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field - 5–10 years of experience in utilities within pharma / GMP / FMCG plants - Strong knowledge of cleanroom HVAC, water systems, steam, and compressed air - Hands-on troubleshooting experience - Familiarity with GMP documentation, deviations, and change control Preferred: - Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments - Exposure to BMS/EMS systems - Experience with utilities qualification and validation
