Job Description : Retail Operations Manager | Melbourne AUSTRALIA Open to International candidates with 20+ years in retail This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up, not step into something that already exists. A globally recognised, design-led brand as they launch their first Australian retail store in Melbourne CBD, with ambitious plans to expand nationally. This is the person behind the scenes making it all happen. From securing sites to opening doors, leading Store Managers to building the operational playbook , you’ll be responsible for creating a retail network from scratch and setting it up to scale. What you’ll be doing: Scouting and securing new store locations Managing lease negotiations and landlord relationships Leading store openings from concept to launch Building and developing a high-performing store leadership team Creating the systems, processes, and infrastructure for growth Partnering with senior leadership on strategy and expansion We’re looking for: A strong retail operations manager / Head of Retail or Retail Manager Someone who has opened stores and built networks early-stage Commercially sharp with the ability to influence senior stakeholders A hands-on operator who enjoys both strategy and execution Someone energised by “firsts” and building from zero Why this role stands out: True build-from-scratch opportunity Work closely with senior leadership on growth strategy Join a purpose-led, globally respected brand Shape what retail looks like for this business in Australia
