20 yearsJob Description : Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Engineering / EPC | Mumbai | High Impact Leadership Role We are currently advising one of our premium consulting clients on a strategic leadership hire for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a growth-driven mandate to onboard a finance leader who can partner the promoters and global stakeholders in scaling the business to its next orbit. About the Client (Confidential): A Swiss-origin engineering company with a strong presence in India, engaged in the design, manufacturing, and execution of specialized equipment for highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals. The business operates in a project-driven (EPC-style) environment with a healthy order book, global linkages, and ambitious expansion plans across markets. The Mandate: CFO (Mumbai) This role goes far beyond traditional finance. You will be expected to act as a strategic co-pilot to the promoters, drive financial discipline across a project-led business, and represent India operations at a global level. Key Responsibilities: Own and drive the entire finance charter — FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, controllership Lead project financials: costing, margin optimization, cash flow, and working capital cycles Anchor fundraising, banking relationships, and treasury strategy Build robust governance, controls, and scalable financial systems Partner on commercial strategy, contracts, and pricing decisions Present business performance, strategy, and financial insights to the parent company, global investors, and Board members based outside India Act as the bridge between India operations and international stakeholders Play a key role in M&A, strategic partnerships, and expansion initiatives Build and lead a high-caliber finance team Who We Are Looking For: Qualified CA with 15–20+ years of experience Strong background in: EPC / project-driven organizations Engineering or capital equipment manufacturing Deep expertise in project costing, contract management, and working capital cycles Proven experience in fundraising and financial structuring Exposure to global reporting / multinational environments is highly preferred Strong executive presence with the ability to engage Boards, investors, and international stakeholders A mindset of a builder + business partner, not just a finance controller What’s on Offer: Compensation: No bar for the right candidate ESOPs / long-term wealth creation opportunities will be part of the structure Direct access to promoters and global leadership A high-visibility, high-impact role in a scaling, globally connected business This is an opportunity to step into a true leadership seat, influence strategic direction, and create long-term value.
