Workshop Manager 
20 yearsJob Description : WORKSHOP MANAGER OMAN 20+ years experience Overall responsibility of overseeing the Operations of Engine services for marine, power plant Gas and diesel engine based power plant and workshop at our service centre. Good exposure and in-depth knowledge of Marine and industrial engines. Well conversant in trouble shooting & Maintenance of other machineries such as Compressors, pumps, etc. Monitoring and controlling the daily activities of Site and workshop. Ensure availability of adequate manpower with requisite competence for the jobs in hand and likely to be assigned. Coordinating with inspecting/approving authority (e.g. class surveyors) for inspections and surveys at workshop, at site or at premises of a party to whom some of the relevant jobs may be outsourced. Meeting the gross revenue and profit targets for the business unit as per planned AOP. Improving operational efficiency through effective control of resources and managing the quality & deliverance time/deadlines. Minimizing claims, reworks and customer complaints and Free from the accident Closing of jobs as per timelines without any customer complaints and good feedback. Ensuring adherence to all quality systems and requirements for depute the manpower for Offshore, marine service (Local and international services). Ensuring development and implementation of Safety systems and standards and for developing a safe working environment according to the statutory requirement for the site condition. Cost control, job cost monitoring and productivity. Training and development of operations personnel and subordinates. Introduction of new technologies and methods in operations. Be a good mentor and develop the second line leadership to take care all activities. Preparing and create the skill analysis and gap analysis of employees skill and providing the training for each working staff. Prepare and conducting the training according to the training feedback of the employees needs. Skill in planning, execution of all diesel engine equipment and its auxiliary with project guide. In-depth knowledge in the special tools handling such laser alignment, vibration analysis, laser shoot and crank shaft condition checks- NDT test etc. Standardising the service format as per ISO standard and knowledge required on ISO and Audit. Preferred candidate profile Age: Between 35 - 45 years of age Education: Degree or Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering is preferred Experience: 15 to 20 years in a ship yard, dry docks with minimum 5 years as Workshop Manager. Technological Adequate Computer literacy is essential. CAD operating skill will be added advantage. MANDATORY SKILL : He should serve as field supervisor at least 12 years on site. Should have sound knowledge in two stroke engine and four stroke engines (Marine). Good communication Proficiency. Good team player and shouldering the responsibility. Good Presentation Skills Power point /CRM/ other software Problem Solving/Analytical thinking DESIRED SKILL Fluent in English speaking and report writing. Ability to work well under pressure Demonstrate ability to handle work professionally, independently and efficiently Analytical, planning, execution and problem-solving skills Excellent managerial and mentorship skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
