Job Description : Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) – API / Advanced Therapeutics- MONTREAL CANADA Open to International candidates Industry: Pharma / API / CDMO / Advanced Therapeutics Provide Strategic Scientific leadership for the Organization’s API & Advanced therapeutics Platform with a Strong focus on Innovation, Complex Chemistry, Process Development, & Global CDMO Capabilities. The incumbent Would lead Scientific Strategy, Technology Development, innovation Pipelines, & Commercialization Initiatives Across Complex APIs, Polypeptides, Oligonucleotides, & High Potent APIs (HPAPI), While Building a Globally Competitive R&D Ecosystem. Drive the Overall Scientific & R&D Strategy Aligned with business Growth Objectives Lead end-to-end Development of: Complex APIs High Potent APIs (HPAPI) Polypeptides Oligonucleotides Advanced therapeutic Molecules Build & Strengthen innovation-led CDMO Capabilities Lead process Research, Route Scouting, Scale-up, Technology Transfer, & Commercialization Activities Develop Differentiated Technology Platforms & intellectual Property strategy Ensure Compliance with Global Regulatory & Quality standards Collaborate with Global Customers, innovators, & Strategic Partners Drive Scientific excellence, Operational efficiency, &:l Speed-to-Market initiatives Mentor & Build high-Performing Scientific & Technical teams Support Business Development through Scientific engagement with Clients & Partners Evaluate emerging technologies, industry Trends, & New Therapeutic Opportunities PhD / M.Pharm / Masters in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Related Discipline 25+ years of experience in API / Pharma R&D Strong exposure to the CDMO Business Environment Proven expertise in: Polypeptides Oligonucleotides High Potent APIs (HPAPI) Complex API development Process Chemistry & Scale-up Experience in handling global Regulatory expectations & Customer Audits Demonstrated Success in leading large Scientific teams & innovation Programs Strong Strategic, Commercial, & leadership Orientation Exposure to Global Markets & Customers Engagement Preferred Scientific Leadership Innovation & Technology Management Strategic Thinking Global CDMO Exposure Cross-functional Leadership Commercial Acumen Problem Solving & Decision Making Stakeholder Management
