I’m looking for a senior leader to scale an outlet business for one of the region’s largest retail groups. Whilst the outlet channel already exists, this is effectively a semi-greenfield project that will require someone to build and shape the business more strategically across the group’s large portfolio of premium and fashion brands, whilst also identifying new brands suited to the outlet route to market. You only need to look at the continued relevance of Dubai Outlet Mall, the strength of tourism led outlet shopping in the region and the rise of made for outlet strategies from major fashion groups to see how strategically important this channel has become. The brief is highly specific and I will only engage with the candidates that have the following experience in an outlet model; • End to end retail management • Full P&L ownership • Deep merchandising and planning capability • Outlet channel exposure, ideally at a franchise/JV partner level • GCC market experience This role sits at the intersection of retail operations, commercial strategy, merchandising, inventory productivity and growth.
