Job Description : Unit Head – Sugar & Biofuels EAST AFRICA This is not just another plant leadership role. This is about owning an entire unit end-to-end — operations, people, performance, and outcomes. Looking for someone who has seen scale, handled complexity, and delivered consistently. ???? What you’ll own: Full unit operations leadership – planning, execution, and performance. Driving production targets within cost and quality benchmarks. Ensuring zero disruption across material, manpower, and machinery. Managing large workforce (800–1000+) with strong IR & HR practices. Overseeing statutory compliance (Excise, PF, Pollution Control, etc.). Improving efficiency, capacity utilization, and cost optimization. Building a culture of discipline, ownership, and continuous improvement. ???? What we’re looking for: 20+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles. Background in industries like Sugar / Chemicals / Fertilizers. Proven track record of managing large-scale operations and teams. Strong people leadership + industrial relations capability. Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems structurally. Ownership mindset — someone who runs the unit like their own.
