Job Description : Executive Director Operations (Group Role) Location: East Africa (Multi-country Operations) Industry: Leading Agri / FMCG / Integrated Operations Group About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and strategic operations leader to oversee and drive large-scale business operations across multiple countries in East Africa. This is a highly critical leadership role reporting directly to the Group CEO/Managing Director and will be responsible for driving operational excellence, business growth, profitability, governance, and transformation initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate should bring deep expertise in managing large agri-business or integrated operations with strong exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, commercial operations, and multi-location team leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end business operations across multiple countries and business units - Drive operational efficiency, profitability, productivity, and organizational growth - Develop and implement long-term operational and business strategies aligned with group objectives - Oversee large-scale agri operations, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, and distribution - Build strong governance frameworks, operational controls, and performance management systems - Partner closely with the Board and CEO on strategic business decisions and expansion plans - Lead large cross-functional and multicultural teams across geographies - Ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate policies, and international operational standards - Drive transformation, automation, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives - Strengthen stakeholder relationships including investors, partners, government bodies, and leadership teams Desired Candidate Profile: - 20+ years of leadership experience in large-scale operations management - Strong experience in Agri, Agri-processing, FMCG, Manufacturing, Plantation, Food Processing, or integrated business operations - Proven track record of handling multi-country or regional operations - Strong strategic, commercial, and operational leadership capabilities - Experience managing large P&L responsibilities and complex business environments - Excellent stakeholder management and people leadership skills - Exposure to emerging markets / Africa operations will be highly preferred - MBA / PGDM from reputed institutes preferred Key Skills: - Strategic Leadership, Business Operations, Multi-country Operations, Agri Operations, P&L Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Business Transformation, Operational Excellence, Stakeholder Management, Change Management, Governance, Commercial Operations, Process Optimization, Cross-functional Leadership Additional Information: - Expat benefits will be provided as per company policy - This is a confidential leadership mandate with high strategic visibility and organizational impact
