Job Description : COO NIGERIA We are seeking a sharp, methodical, and enterprising leader to spearhead the overall operations, growth, and profitability of the Group's Agro Processing, Steel, and Packaging businesses in Nigeria. This is a high-impact role offering full P&L ownership, exceptional autonomy, and the opportunity to build and scale businesses in one of Africa’s most dynamic markets. 1. Strategic Leadership & Growth Develop and execute cross-vertical business strategies for Agro, Steel, and Packaging Identify emerging market opportunities, partnerships, and new business avenues Lead capacity expansion, new product lines, and market penetration initiatives 2. Operations & Manufacturing Excellence Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations across all business units Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization Implement best practices in plant management and continuous improvement 3. Commercial & Financial Management Own complete P&L responsibility for all business verticals Strengthen distribution networks and expand market share across Nigeria Drive sales strategies for agro products, packaging, and steel Monitor budgets, cost controls, and profitability metrics 4. Supply Chain & Team Leadership Establish robust sourcing strategies for agro commodities Optimize supply chain efficiency in a high-cost operating environment Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams Foster a performance-driven and entrepreneurial culture 5. Stakeholder & Regulatory Management Liaise directly with Group CEO, promoters, and board members Manage relationships with government bodies and regulatory authorities Ensure compliance with local laws and corporate governance norms Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Agriculture / Business (MBA preferred) 10–20 years of experience with at least 10+ years in senior management Strong background in Agro Processing, Agro Commodities, FMCG, or Manufacturing Deep exposure to manufacturing operations is essential Prior experience in Africa / Nigeria is a significant advantage Proven track record of scaling businesses and driving growth Comfortable working in challenging and evolving environments Young, dynamic, and entrepreneurial leader Strong analytical and methodical problem-solving approach Ability to identify and act swiftly on opportunities High ownership and accountability Decisive yet collaborative leadership style International mindset with cross-cultural leadership capability Strategic Thinking & Execution P&L Ownership Manufacturing Excellence Business Development Market Expansion Leadership & Team Building Supply Chain Management Agro Commodities Expertise Financial Discipline Regulatory & Compliance Awareness Decision Making Stakeholder Management INDUSTRY BACKGROUND Agro Processing, FMCG, Steel, or Industrial Manufacturing Multi-vertical / diversified group experience preferred Africa / Middle East / emerging markets exposure highly preferred Reporting To: Group CEO / Managing Director Role Level: C-Suite / Senior Leadership Experience: 10 – 20 Years Net Savings: USD $10,000 – $15,000 per month (tax-free, negotiable) Company Car Provided Accommodation Provided Performance Linked Incentives (PLI) Full Expat Benefits as per company policy
