PRODUCTION HEAD

Job Description : PRODUCTION HEAD NIGERIA a results-driven and technically proficient Head Productionto oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations in our client flexible and woven polypropylene packaging facility in Lagos. Core Responsibilities · Production Planning & Capacity Utilization: Develop and execute production schedules to meet sales targets while minimizing downtime and maximizing capacity utilization. · Process Supervision: Oversee the entire PP manufacturing value chain, including Tape Extrusion lines, Circular Looms, Lamination plants, Flexographic Printing, and cutting/stitching. · Quality Assurance & Control: Implement stringent quality protocols to ensure all fabrics and sacks meet exact customer specifications · Equipment & Maintenance Management: Establish and monitor preventative maintenance programs for all machinery to minimize mechanical downtime. · Cost & Waste Reduction: Lead process optimization initiatives to reduce raw material wastage (polypropylene granules/resin) and optimize labor costs. · Manpower & Safety Management: Supervise, train, and mentor floor supervisors and machine operators. Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in compliance with Nigerian labor laws. Key Requirements & Qualifications · Education: Bachelors degree or Diploma in Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Plastics Technology. · Experience: Minimum of 18 to 20 years of progressive management experience in flexible and woven polypropylene packaging with prior Africa work experience (Mandatory) · Technical Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of operating and troubleshooting tape extrusion lines and circular looms. · Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, root-cause problem-solving, and cross-functional communication abilities · Healthy and travel savvy
