Laboratory Head

Job Description : Laboratory Head – Research & Development ETHIOPIA We are seeking an experienced R&D leader to establish and lead a greenfield Research & Development Laboratory for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This is a strategic role focused on driving formulation development, innovation, and regulatory excellence. Key Highlights: ? Lead end-to-end formulation development across multiple dosage forms ? Establish R&D lab systems, SOPs, and best practices from scratch ? Drive analytical method development, validation, and stability studies ? Lead technology transfer from lab to commercial production ? Support regulatory filings, audits, and compliance activities ? Collaborate with cross-functional teams across production, QA, and regulatory ? Build and mentor a high-performing R&D team Ideal Candidate: ???? 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D ???? Strong expertise in formulation development and analytical method validation ???? Hands-on experience in technology transfer and regulatory documentation ???? Prior experience in WHO-GMP environments is mandatory ???? Exposure to greenfield projects and international markets preferred ???? M.Pharm / PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Industrial Pharmacy, or related field ???? Industry: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Greenfield Project) ???? Location: Ethiopia (Expatriate Role)
