Job Description : REMOTE ACCOUNTING DIRECTOR FOR NYC FIRM, USA A fast-growing Media & SaaS company is looking for a Director of Accounting to join its team in a highly impactful role. Reporting directly to the SVP of Finance and partnering closely with the CFO, you will oversee accounting operations, enhance financial processes, and contribute to the company’s continued growth. While headquartered in Manhattan, this fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within the Eastern time zone. About the Director of Accounting Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of direct reports through mentorship, feedback, and performance guidance. Oversee financial operations by monitoring revenue, expenses, and the analysis of organizational financial data. Strengthen accounting controls by establishing and enforcing policies, procedures, and compliance standards. Manage key accounting processes, including billing oversight, revenue accuracy, reconciliations, and period-end close activities. Support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, risk assessment, and cross-functional accounting guidance across the business. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience. At least20 years of accounting or finance experience, including team management. CPA qualification preferred. Extensive background in the Media, SaaS, or Technology industries. Proficiency in NetSuite highly desired. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, accuracy, organization, communication, and teamwork.
