Job Description : FLEET MANAGER GHANA ocation: Accra, Ghana Industry: Plastic Manufacturing Designation: Fleet Manager Experience: 15+ Proven experience in managing fleet operations within a manufacturing setup Expat Benefits: Bachelor accommodation +Food +2 year contract - 30 days leave every 2 years + Return air tickets provided with leave Key Responsibilities Fleet Operations Management Manage end-to-end fleet operations including commercial vehicles, heavy trucks, forklifts, utility vehicles, and material handling equipment. Ensure optimum fleet utilization to support manufacturing and distribution activities. Monitor vehicle performance, availability, and operational efficiency. Maintenance & Workshop Management Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. Oversee workshop activities including repairs, servicing, breakdown management, and inspections. Ensure minimum downtime through effective maintenance planning. Manage spare parts inventory and workshop consumables. Driver & Transport Management Supervise driver recruitment, training, performance monitoring, and disciplinary processes. Ensure compliance with company transportation policies and safety regulations. Monitor driver productivity, route adherence, and fuel efficiency. Cost Control & Performance Monitoring Control fleet operating costs including fuel, tyres, batteries, lubricants, and maintenance expenses. Implement systems to improve vehicle efficiency and reduce operational costs. Prepare fleet MIS reports, maintenance reports, and budget forecasts. GPS & Fleet Tracking Monitor fleet movement through GPS tracking systems. Analyze fuel consumption, idle time, route deviations, and vehicle utilization. Implement corrective actions to improve fleet productivity. Procurement & Vendor Management Coordinate procurement of vehicles, equipment, spare parts, tyres, and workshop tools. Manage relationships with suppliers, OEMs, and service vendors. Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective purchasing. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company safety standards. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and safety audits. Maintain all fleet documentation, registrations, insurance, and statutory requirements.
