Job Description : GM R & D SWEDEN Open to International candidates a manufacturer specializing in formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin products. Role: The General Manager of Research & Development (R&D) plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and technological advancements. This position oversees the entire R&D process, from ideation to commercialization, ensuring the development of high-quality products that meet market demands and contribute to the company’s competitive edge. Strategic R&D Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive R&D strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and market trends. Identify and prioritize R&D projects that have the potential to generate significant value for the company. Establish clear goals and performance metrics for R&D projects and ensure their successful execution. Research and Innovation: Lead a team of highly skilled scientists and engineers to conduct cutting-edge research in formalin and formaldehyde derivative technologies. Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the R&D department, encouraging new ideas and approaches. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in formalin and formaldehyde derivative technologies through industry research and collaboration with external partners. Product Development: Oversee the entire product development process, from concept to commercialization. Manage the development of new formalin and formaldehyde derivative products that meet market needs and regulatory requirements. Ensure that products are developed within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of formalin and formaldehyde derivative chemistry, manufacturing processes, and application technologies. Stay up-to-date on the latest scientific and technological developments in the field. Provide technical guidance and support to other departments within the company. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate R&D progress and findings to senior management, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure that R&D efforts are aligned with business needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as universities, research institutions, and industry experts. Requirements: Education: Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field from a reputable university. Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in a research and development leadership role within the chemical industry. Proven track record of successfully developing and commercializing new products. Strong technical expertise in formalin and formaldehyde derivative chemistry, manufacturing processes, and application technologies. Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and motivate a team of scientists and engineers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
