Job Description : Chief Operating Officer / Vice President - Operations Location: Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh Industry: Pharma Chemical / Specialty Chemical / Food Processing / Chemical Industries Compensation: Up to 90 LPA Max. (Fixed + Variable combined ) On behalf of our client—a pioneering, frontrunning market leader in its industry with over six decades of excellence and a current turnover of 200 Crores —We are conducting an exclusive search for a visionary and strategic COO / VP - Operations. This is a listed organization looking for a dynamic leader to drive their next phase of growth. The Role & Roadmap Reporting directly to the President , Candidate will hold full P&L accountability and guide a workforce of 400 staff (including contractors) to ensure optimal plant efficiency, high-quality standards, and exceptional financial performance. Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Business Leadership: Oversee cross-functional units including Manufacturing, R&D, Purchase & Procurement, Finance, Maintenance, Administration, and Sales & Marketing. Plant & Resource Management: Optimize day-to-day plant operations, resource allocation, and process improvements while maintaining a safe work environment. Liaison & Compliance: Manage Union relationships, government/public liaising, and ensure absolute regulatory compliance across all business operations. Strategic Growth: Align operational execution with the long-term vision outlined by the Board of Directors. Candidate Profile Ideal Background: Education: Chemical Engineer from a premier institute. Experience & Age: Around 25 to 35 years of robust experience , with an ideal age profile between 45 and 55 years. Current Designation: Currently working as a COO or VP - Operations, with strong plant operations experience. Geographic Preferences: Candidates who possess a proven track record of working in North or Central India and willing to relocate to Jabalpur. Languages: Fluency in English and Hindi is required. Proficiency in Tamil will be an added advantage. Core Competencies: Domain Expertise (50%): Deep insight into production, supply chain, and commercial acumen to drive profitability. People Management (30%): Exceptional ability to manage unions, inspire teams, and create stability during business uncertainties. Analytical Bent (20%): A systems-driven mindset to track domain developments, implement course corrections, and optimize cost-effectiveness.
