Job Description : Gm– R&D (Automotive Rubber ) having the experienced R&D professional to lead the development of advanced elastomer compounds and manufacturing technologies for automotive fuel tubes, hoses, and related rubber products. The role will be responsible for compound formulation, process development, cost optimization, compliance management, risk mitigation, and technical leadership. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in automotive rubber materials, product development, and manufacturing processes while driving innovation and continuous improvement across the organization. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize rubber formulations to meet customer specifications, performance requirements, and regulatory standards.Evaluate and identify alternative, equivalent, or cost-effective raw materials without compromising product quality, reliability, or performance.Continuously improve existing compounds based on laboratory testing, field performance, and Automotive OEM customer feedback.Product Development & Process Engineering Conceptualize, develop, and industrialize new rubber products from design through production launch.Establish robust manufacturing processes for new product introductions (NPI) ensuring quality, productivity, and scalability. Design and optimize textile reinforcement processes involving Polyester, Nylon Cord, and Cotton yarns to ensure hose strength, durability, and structural integrity. Research, Innovation & Technology Identify, evaluate, and implement advanced technologies, testing methods, and machinery to strengthen R&D and manufacturing capabilities. Lead Design of Experiments (DOE) initiatives using Taguchi, Full Factorial, and other statistical techniques to optimize material and process performance. Drive innovation projects focused on material enhancement, process efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction.
