Job Description : Production Manager ( Animal Feed ) for a leading Feed Manufacturing Unit based in Nigeria, West Africa Position title : Production Manager ( Animal Feed ) Job location : Nigeria Educational Qualification : Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering / M.V.Sc ( Feed & Nutrition ) Experience : 12 to 15 years of experience in production experience in Poultry Feed mill Salary : Open, based on experience Benefits : Bachelor accommodation, Local Allowance, 30 Days Annual Trip with cost of ticket etc Roles & responsibilities: ? To plan overall operations processes and procedure and to manage the implementation of all applicable SOP's. ?To set the direction of plant operation, forecast weekly / monthly production plan, targets and prepare action plans for self and individual team members. ?To lead, support and coordinate the day-to-day operations of mill ?To achieve daily/weekly efficiency (Production, Quality, Yield, Operational Cost) targets and ensure process parameters are adhered to without any variance. ?To plan for preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance and coordinate with maintenance team. ?To ensure smooth operational procedure and to meet operational efficiency. ?Monitoring achievement against Operational Plan, Production Efficiency, Reduction in Breakdown Cost. ?Regular process audit inspection to ensure Housekeeping, plant safety personnel and environment through the proper implementation of EHS. ?Supervising quality standards work on implementation of GMP, HACCP & ISO. ?Identify new projects and opportunities for improvement and take responsibility for its successful execution after approval from the management team. ?To prepare and recommend monthly budget and monitor financial performance verses the budget to ensure business alignment. ?Manage effective communication by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, providing of formal and informal feedback on performance and training needs. ?To prepare all applicable reports in time for accuracy and in order to ensure that they match the functional requirements, policies and standards. ?To perform other related duties or assignment as and when assigned. Qualification & experience : ?Qualification - Engineering Graduate in Mechanical / M.V.Sc ( Feed & Nutrition ) ?Minimum work experience of approx. 12-18 years in a feed mill, out of which minimum 5 years as Production Manager ?Well-versed in implementation and supervision of various practices/standards as applicable in Food Safety, QMS, and other relevant standards. ?Experience in handling multiple MIS for Management. ?As per the need of the business the job is transferrable and posting can be made anywhere in Nigeria/West Africa.
