A leading mining organization in Namibia is seeking an accomplished General Manager – Projects to spearhead the development, execution, construction, and commissioning of major mining and mineral processing projects. Position: General Manager – Projects ???? Industry: Mining & Minerals ? Experience: 15+ Years ???? Key Responsibilities: ? Lead project development, engineering, construction, and commissioning activities from concept through operational handover ? Manage EPC/EPCM contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams ? Drive project execution in line with approved schedules, CAPEX budgets, and business objectives ? Ensure effective project governance, risk management, and cost control ? Oversee construction management, commissioning, and operational readiness activities ? Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards ? Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure seamless project handover ? Build strong relationships with government authorities, local communities, contractors, and key stakeholders ? Provide strategic leadership to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget ???? Ideal Candidate Profile: ? Degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline ? 15+ years of experience in mining project development and execution ? Proven leadership experience on large-scale greenfield and brownfield mining projects ? Strong exposure to EPC/EPCM project delivery models ? Expertise in construction management, commissioning, and project controls ? Experience working across Africa will be highly advantageous ?
