Job Description : Head - API Manufacturing Operations INDIA Are you a visionary leader in the pharmaceutical space with a proven track record of driving operational excellence in large-scale API manufacturing? Cadila Pharmaceuticals is looking for a dynamic Head - API Manufacturing Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for all Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing activities across our site. This pivotal role will spearhead operational excellence, regulatory compliance, productivity enhancement, and capacity expansion while ensuring an uninterrupted global supply of high-quality APIs. ???? Key Responsibilities: Manufacturing Leadership: Provide end-to-end leadership for API manufacturing operations (reaction, isolation, drying, milling, blending, packaging) across multiple production blocks. Regulatory & Quality Excellence: Ensure strict compliance with global regulatory requirements including cGMP, ICH, USFDA, MHRA, EDQM, and WHO-GMP. Operational Excellence: Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and Industry 4.0 digitalization initiatives to optimize yield, cycle times, and OEE. NPI & Tech Transfer: Partner with R&D and Tech Transfer teams for smooth process scale-up and commercial launch readiness. People Leadership: Lead, develop, and build succession pipelines for a large manufacturing workforce. ???? Who Are We Looking For? Education: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology (M.Tech or MBA in Operations is highly preferred). Experience: 18–25 years of progressive experience in API manufacturing within leading pharmaceutical organizations. Leadership: Minimum 10+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale, multi-product API facilities handling complex chemistries. Regulatory Exposure: Proven success in facing international inspections like USFDA, MHRA, and EDQM.
