Job Description : Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) – Agrochemical / Speciality Chemicals Mumbai Role Purpose The Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) Would Provide Strategic Scientific Leadership Across Research, Innovation, Technology Development & Product Commercialisation. The incumbent Would Drive the Organisation's Long-Term Growth Agenda through Development of Innovative Technologies, New Molecules, Process Excellence, Sustainable Chemistry Solutions & Intellectual Property Creation. The Role Would be Responsible for Strengthening Position as a Leading Global Specialty Chemicals, Agrochemicals & Advanced Materials Organisation through Scientific Excellence, Innovation Management & Technology Leadership. Key Responsibilities Scientific Leadership & Innovation Define & Execute the Company's Scientific Vision, Innovation Strategy & Technology Roadmap. Lead Research Programmes across Agrochemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Advanced Intermediates & Emerging Technologies. Identify New Growth Platforms, Molecules, Products & Technology Opportunities. Build a Culture of Scientific Excellence, Creativity & Continuous Innovation. Research & Development Provide Leadership to Research, Process Development, Analytical Sciences & Product Development Teams. Drive Development of Novel Products, Sustainable Technologies & Differentiated Solutions. Accelerate Product Development Cycles from Concept to Commercialisation. Establish Robust Stage-Gate Processes for Innovation & Technology Projects. Technology Development & Commercialisation Lead Scale-Up, Technology Transfer & Commercial Deployment of New Products. Ensure Effective Integration of Research with Manufacturing, Engineering, Regulatory & Commercial Functions. Support Global Expansion through Development of Competitive Technology Platforms. Intellectual Property & Regulatory Strategy Develop & Strengthen Intellectual Property Portfolio through Patents, Technology Platforms & Proprietary Processes. Evaluate Scientific Risks, Competitive Technologies & Emerging Industry Trends. Guide Regulatory Strategy, Product Stewardship & Compliance Qualifications & Exp. Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Agrochemical Sciences or Related Scientific Discipline With About 25Years of Progressive Leadership Experience in Specialty Chemicals, Agrochemicals, Fine Chemicals, Advanced Materials or Related Industries. Proven Track Record in Leading Large R&D Organisations. Demonstrated Success in Innovation, Product Development, Technology Commercialisation & Patent Creation. Strong Exposure to Global Markets, Regulatory Frameworks & Scientific Collaborations.
