HEAD OF CONSTRUCTION

Job Description : HEAD OF CONSTRUCTION ZIMBABWE The Head of Construction will provide strategic and operational leadership for all construction activities across the Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while driving operational excellence, commercial performance, and stakeholder satisfaction. Develop and implement the Groups construction strategy in line with business objectives. Lead the planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of construction and property development projects. Oversee project budgets, schedules, resource allocation and overall project performance. Drive cost control, productivity improvement and project profitability. Manage contracts, consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure effective project execution. Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, health, safety, environmental and quality requirements. Establish and maintain effective project governance, reporting and risk management systems. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, local authorities, contractors and other stakeholders. Lead, mentor and develop construction teams to achieve high levels of performance and accountability. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and operational efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Structural Engineering or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Construction Management or Business Administration will be an added advantage. Professional registration with a recognised professional body will be an added advantage. Experience in construction, infrastructure development, engineering or property development. Leadership experience in a senior management role leading large-scale construction projects. Proven track record in project delivery, contract management, commercial management and stakeholder engagement
