Contracts Manager

Job Description : EPC Contracts Manager Abu Dhabi, UAE China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation Working at Corporate, he will play a key role in legal / EPC contracts and major subcontracts management for CPECC in UAE and Gulf Region. Assisting and providing legal and contracts support to other Projects / Branches in the region. Draft, structure, negotiate wide range of commercial contracts including EPC Contracts. Negotiate contractual claims. Develop and manage legal risks and develop a framework for Corporate. Draft, Review and Provide legal expertise on Company's Corporate policies and procedures. Develop Company's litigation strategy. Ensure that Corporate policies and procedures are in compliance of local, regional and international best practices. Working on Project; Lead the team of Sr. Contracts Engineers, Subcontract Engineers. A) To assist the Project Manager in management / administration of the Main Contract on day-to-day basis in the best interest of the Project. B) To be familiar with the entire EPC Main Contract Scope of Work and related documentation. C) To provide inputs and advice (whenever requested) to other internal Departments on matters relating to the Main EPC Contract. D) To generate / draft a new letter on a new issue / matter / topic, review and rephrase / refine letters prepared by other departments, understanding the time, cost & contractual impact of this correspondence and keeping track of all outstanding letters from CPECC and Client. E) To deal with matters relating to Notice of Change, Variation and Claim Management with regard to the main contract according to related internal regulations and procedures, and generate / update the corresponding register and reports. F) To respond to queries relating to the Main Contract terms raised by internal departments. G) To be responsible for close-out actions on the EPC Contract. H) To prepare the Key Points of Main Contract and conduct in-house training / awareness sessions to other departments (whenever required) on interpretation of Main EPC contract clauses related to their departments / functions. I) To attend periodic progress meetings (internally within CPECC and with Client), reporting progress / updates on outstanding letters / contractual matters. J) To coordinate with Cost Control , Sub-contracts and Procurement departments for inputs and offering contractual related services as and when required. K) Sub-contracts preparation, management and administration. QUALIFICTAION / EXPERIENCE / AVAILABILITY Candidate must be Bachelor Degree in any Engineering Discipline. Minimum of 15 Years experience and 05 Years as EPC Contracts Manager within Oil & Gas Petrochemical Sector / Large Construction Company in Middle East. ACIArb or MCIArb shall be differentiator. Candidate with law background shall be preferred.
