Job Description : Head – Quality KSA Qualification: • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy Engineering • Additional certifications such as Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CSWIP/AWS will be an added advantage. • Experience: • 15–20 years of experience in Transmission Tower Manufacturing / Heavy Fabrication / Steel Structures • Minimum 5–8 years in a senior leadership role in Quality • Key Responsibilities: Lead Quality Assurance & Quality Control functions across fabrication, galvanizing, and dispatch. Ensure compliance with IS, ASTM, IEC, ISO and other applicable standards. Oversee: • Raw Material Inspection • In-Process Inspection • Welding & Assembly Inspection • Final Inspection & Dispatch Clearance Manage and control: • Hot-Dip Galvanizing Quality (IS 2629, IS 4759, ASTM A123) • Customer & Third-Party Inspections (TPI) • CAPA, Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement initiatives. Drive: • Lean Manufacturing • Six Sigma • Kaizen & 5S • Cost Reduction & Process Optimization Lead Internal & External Audits and ensure ISO 9001 compliance. Build and mentor high-performing quality teams and drive KPI achievement. Technical Expertise Required: • Transmission Tower Fabrication Processes • Galvanizing Standards & Quality Control • Welding Inspection (WPS, PQR, NDT Methods) • SPC, Root Cause Analysis & Quality Improvement Tools • Supplier Quality Management & Vendor Audits Key Performance Indicators: Reduction in Rejection & Rework Customer Satisfaction & Complaint Closure First-Time-Right (FTR) Production Audit Compliance Scores On-Time Inspection Clearance Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) Desired Competencies: • Strategic Leadership • Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills • Stakeholder Management • Decision-Making Ability • Excellent Communication & Team Leadership Skills
