STRENGTHEN CONTROLS. DRIVE GROWTH. The Finance Manager will lead and oversee the full finance and accounting function for a mining supply and engineering company based in Ghana. The role reports JOB DESCRIPTION directly to the President and is responsible for supervising the finance team, maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening controls, managing cash flow, and ensuring timely management reporting. JOB DESCRIPTION: Managing and supervising the full finance and accounting team • Overseeing daily finance operations and ensuring all accounting activities are completed accurately and on time • Preparing and reviewing financial documents such as invoices, bills, accounts payable, and accounts receivable • Managing cash flow planning and working capital requirements Coordinating banking activities, supplier payments, customer collections, international payments, and foreign currency transactions • Handling letters of credit, bank guaraatees, and related banking documentation Preparing monthly MIS reports for management review . Preparing and reviewing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, debtor ageing, creditor ageing, and budget variance reports Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing accurate information to management • Preparing annual budgets and assisting with financial forecasting . Monitoring monthly budgeting tasks and reporting on budget variances Completing bank reconciliations and verifying bank deposits • Managing company ledgers and ensuring all accounts are properly maintained Processing and reviewing business expenses Recording office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the approved budget • Managing day to day transactions and ensuring all entries are posted correctly Overseeing payroll processing and ensuring accuracy before final approval • Handling accruals, prepayments, and year end analysis . Reporting on debtors and creditors and ensuring timely follow up on outstanding balances • Overseeing inventory accounting, costing, landed cost calculations, and project based accounting • Supporting import and export documentation from a finance and accounting perspective • Entering and reviewing financial information in Tally and ERP systems • Ensuring proper use of accounting software and maintaining accurate system records • Coordinating internal and external audits and ensuring audit requirements are completed on time. • Overseeing tax filings, statutory compliance, audit preparation, and year end finalization handled by the finance team • Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies Sorting financial documents and ensuring they are posted to the proper accounts • Reviewing computer reports for accuracy and tracing errors back to their source Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods . ? Strengthening internal controls for payments, receipts, banking, inventory, approvals, and reporting • Providing financial analysis and recommendations to support management decisions $ SALARY PACKAGE + ACCOMMODATION $2500 + TRANSPORT + ALL OTHER EXPAT BENEFITS • Minimum 20 plus years of experience in accounting, finance, and financial management M.Com from a recognized university in India ?
