Job Description : Head – Formulation Research & Development (FR&D) – Nutraceuticals NORTH AMERICA Experience: 20+ Years Qualification: Ph.D. (Preferred) / M.Pharm, Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related Life Science discipline. Role Summary Lead the Formulation Research & Development function by driving the development, optimization, and commercialization of innovative nutraceutical products across multiple dosage forms. Responsible for formulation development, scale-up, technology transfer, stability studies, regulatory support, and building a high-performing R&D team. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end product development from concept to commercialization. Develop innovative formulations for tablets, capsules, powders, sachets, gummies, liquids, effervescent, and other nutraceutical dosage forms. Design and optimize formulations for stability, efficacy, manufacturability, and cost. Plan and monitor accelerated and real-time stability studies as per ICH guidelines. Lead technology transfer to manufacturing and support process validation. Coordinate with QA, QC, Production, Regulatory, Procurement, and Marketing for successful product launches. Drive innovation through new ingredients, delivery systems, and formulation technologies. Ensure proper documentation, product dossiers, specifications, and development reports. Lead and mentor the R&D team while fostering a culture of innovation and scientific excellence. Key Skills Hands-on expertise in nutraceutical formulation development across multiple dosage forms. Strong knowledge of excipients, ingredient compatibility, process development, and stability studies. Experience in technology transfer, scale-up, validation, and regulatory documentation. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Preferred Profile A dynamic, innovation-driven professional with 12+ years of hands-on experience in nutraceutical or pharmaceutical formulation R&D. A doctorate is preferred. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully developing and commercializing products, leading scientific teams, and driving innovation while ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and business growth.
