Job Description : MINE PROCUREMENT HEAD SENEGAL 15+ years experience Job Purpose: To be responsible for the procurement activities for the Mines. Core Responsibilities To lead the development and implementation of the procurement strategy, plan and processes for the business To monitor the inventory of raw material & chemicals, spares, consumables etc. at the manufacturing facility as well as the suppliers end to ensure continuous supply To conduct the techno-commercial evaluation of new and improvement projects To be responsible for the end to end supply chain management for new projects To manage contracts and services. To monitor the statutory, legal, labour and other compliances as per the stipulated government and organizational guidelines Analyse audit findings for respective categories and ensure corrective/preventive measures To monitor and ensure adherence to the annual procurement budget and drive cost savings initiatives To track the international price movement of chemicals and other materials and ensure efficiencies in the procurement process To manage the import logistics of chemicals, equipment or spares using different modes (Sea /Air /Road /Train) To negotiate favourable terms of purchase agreements with suppliers/vendors etc. To be responsible for all the documentation and formalities related to customs To liaise with government bodies and related stakeholders Key Interactions Internal: Commercial, Production, Warehouse, Logistic teams External: Contractors, Suppliers, Government authorities
