Job Description : LOGISTICS HEAD NIGERIA Head Logistics Location: Lagos, Nigeria Role Summary The Head – Logistics will lead end-to-end logistics operations for a metals and mining business, ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of raw materials, mining equipment, consumables, and finished products. The role is responsible for transportation, port and customs operations, warehousing, fleet management, import/export logistics, and distribution while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the logistics strategy aligned with business objectives. Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including road, rail, sea, and multimodal transportation. Oversee import/export operations, customs clearance, and port logistics. Lead warehouse, inventory, and fleet management to ensure uninterrupted operations. Drive logistics cost optimization, process improvements, and service excellence. Manage logistics service providers, transport contractors, and vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulations, HSE standards, and international trade requirements. Monitor logistics KPIs, budgets, and operational performance. Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred. 15–20 years of logistics experience, with at least 8 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in the Metals & Mining, Steel, Cement, or Heavy Manufacturing industry. Strong expertise in port operations, customs, heavy haul transportation, warehousing, and supply chain optimization. Experience in Nigeria or West Africa is highly preferred.
