Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (MBA is an added advantage) Join a Leading Mining Organization in Africa We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager (AGM) – HEMM to lead the maintenance and reliability of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery for our mining operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Key Responsibilities Lead the complete HEMM maintenance function for large-scale open-pit mining operations. Ensure high equipment availability, reliability, and optimum utilization of mining fleets. Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies. Manage maintenance planning, shutdowns, budgeting, and cost optimization. Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and equipment performance. Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and company policies. Coordinate with mining operations, procurement, and OEMs to ensure timely availability of spares and technical support. Monitor maintenance KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve fleet performance. Equipment Exposure Hands-on experience in maintaining and managing large mining equipment such as: Excavators Dump Trucks Dozers Wheel Loaders Motor Graders Drills Water Tankers Service Equipment Experience with major OEMs such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Volvo, Bell, or Epiroc will be preferred. Candidate Profile 20+ years of experience in HEMM maintenance within large mining operations. Strong leadership experience managing large maintenance teams. Proven expertise in maintenance planning, asset reliability, and fleet management. Exposure to African mining projects will be a significant advantage. Excellent problem-solving, planning, and people management skills. Willingness to work in a remote mining environment. What We Offer Attractive compensation package.
