20 yearsJob Description : CEO FMCG INDIA Chief Executive Officer Organic Foods Division Reports to: Managing Director Travel: 4050% International One of India's most recognized food companies, with a 40+ year legacy in premium Basmati rice and authentic Indian food products, and a global presence across 60+ countries, is now seeking an entrepreneurial, commercially driven leader to establish and scale its Organic Foods Division into a globally recognized premium food business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the CEO will have end-to-end ownership of strategy, P&L, international market expansion, product development, sourcing, brand building, and organizational capability. Position Summary: The CEO Organic Foods Division will define and execute the long-term strategic roadmap for the company's organic business, leading expansion across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific while strengthening the company's position with international retailers, distributors, foodservice partners, and private label customers. The role requires demonstrated success scaling premium packaged food or organic food businesses globally, backed by strong commercial acumen and international business development expertise. Strategic Mandate: - Brand: Build the company into one of India's most respected global organic food brands. - Growth: Drive sustainable, profitable international growth through strategic market expansion. - Portfolio: Develop a differentiated range across organic rice, grains, pulses, spices, sweeteners, and value-added foods. - Distribution: Strengthen global reach through premium retail, e-commerce, foodservice, and private label partnerships. - Sourcing: Establish long-term partnerships with certified organic producers, ensuring quality, traceability, and sustainability. - Organization: Build a scalable, high-performing team capable of supporting future global growth. Key Responsibilities: Strategy & P&L Leadership: Develop and execute the long-term business strategy for the Organic Foods Division, with complete ownership of revenue, profitability, market share, EBITDA, and sustainable growth. Set annual and multi-year targets, allocate investment across markets and channels, and course-correct the plan as competitive and market conditions evolve. International Market Expansion: Identify, prioritize, and penetrate high-potential international markets through strategic distributor appointments, retailer partnerships, and direct customer engagement. Build market-entry playbooks covering regulatory approval, pricing, and go-to-market sequencing for each new geography. Global Sales & Business Development: Lead commercial growth across modern retail, specialty organic retailers, importers, foodservice, private label customers, and e-commerce, building and personally managing strategic customer relationships at the senior buyer and executive level. Brand Development & Marketing: Position Organic as a premium global brand through differentiated positioning, consumer insights, trade marketing, digital engagement, and international brand-building initiatives, ensuring consistent brand equity across every market and channel. Product Portfolio & Innovation: Drive portfolio expansion by identifying emerging consumer trends and developing innovative, value-added organic products that enhance competitive advantage, working closely with R&D and category teams to prioritize the innovation pipeline. Strategic Partnerships: Develop long-term relationships with global retailers, distributors, certification agencies, sourcing partners, and key industry stakeholders to strengthen market presence and unlock joint business planning opportunities. Supply Chain & Procurement: Build an efficient, scalable, and sustainable sourcing ecosystem with certified organic farmers and suppliers, ensuring product quality, traceability, and supply continuity from farm gate through to finished goods. Operational Excellence: Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance, and regulatory functions to ensure operational efficiency, cost optimization, on-time delivery, and best-in-class customer service excellence. Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Ensure adherence to international food safety standards and organic certifications, including USDA Organic, EU Organic, NPOP, BRCGS, HACCP, and other applicable global standards, across all markets and facilities. Financial & Commercial Governance: Monitor business performance through robust financial planning, forecasting, pricing strategy, working capital management, and performance analytics, presenting regular business reviews to senior leadership. People Leadership: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing leadership team across sales, marketing, sourcing, and operations, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with the Board, Managing Director, key customers, strategic partners, investors, and industry associations to align priorities, secure resources, and drive long-term business success. Candidate Profile: A commercially astute business leader with 1520 years of progressive experience in premium packaged foods, organic foods, agri-business, food exports, or FMCG, with demonstrated success building international businesses, leading cross-functional teams, and managing large-scale P&L responsibilities. The ideal candidate brings significant experience working across global markets, exposure to premium consumer brands, and a genuinely entrepreneurial approach to scaling businesses from the ground up. Travel Expectations: This role requires extensive international travel (approximately 4050%) across key strategic markets including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, the Middle East, Australia, Japan, and other high-growth regions. The successful candidate is expected to engage directly with customers, distributors, retail partners, certification bodies, and industry stakeholders to accelerate business growth.
