Job Description : GCFO THAILAND Group CFO to work directly with the Owner, overseeing the financial direction of a diverse portfolio spanning hospitality, real estate development, and other business interests. You will become the principal financial adviser to the Owner, contributing to both strategic and operational decisions that drive growth and value creation. What you'll do: Lead financial oversight for the entire development lifecycle of a large-scale mixed-use hospitality and commercial project, ensuring robust management of budgets, capital expenditures, contractor payments, cash flow, risk analysis, and reporting. Develop and implement a financial framework to support the growth of a privately owned business beyond its initial project, including treasury operations, banking relationships, financial planning, governance structures, and timely reporting mechanisms. Assess new investment opportunities through detailed financial modeling, feasibility studies, due diligence, and commercial evaluations; provide independent recommendations on capital allocation across diverse sectors. Oversee the performance of operating companies by identifying opportunities to improve returns and collaborating with management teams to enhance profitability while maintaining long-term goals. Establish internal controls, approval processes, and reporting standards that balance disciplined decision-making with the flexibility required in an entrepreneurial environment. Build the finance function from the ground up by implementing systems, policies, and reporting frameworks while recruiting and developing a high-performing finance team to support future growth. Partner closely with ownership to evaluate and manage investments, development projects, and select private business interests by delivering clear analysis and actionable insights. Play an active role in strategic discussions around investment direction as well as operational matters such as budget reviews and refining reporting formats. Ensure efficient capital management across all initiatives; proactively identify financial risks; support investment decisions with thorough analysis. Introduce financial reporting tools that drive informed commercial decision-making rather than focusing solely on historical data. What you bring: Demonstrated experience in environments where investment decisions, capital allocation, and business growth were central responsibilities—such as investment banking, private equity, corporate finance roles within diversified groups or family offices. Proven ability to evaluate new investment opportunities using advanced financial modelling techniques alongside feasibility analysis and thorough due diligence processes. Track record of designing finance functions—including systems implementation, policy creation, reporting frameworks—and recruiting as well as developing high-performing teams from the ground up. Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non-financial decision-makers through clear communication skills. Hospitality sector experience—particularly hotel development or pre-opening projects—is advantageous but not essential; candidates from outside hospitality are encouraged if they possess strong commercial credentials.
