Head of Internal Audit 
20 yearsJob Description : Head of Internal Audit Location: Dubai Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Internal Audit to lead the Group's internal audit function, providing independent assurance over governance, risk management and internal controls. The role will partner closely with executive leadership to identify and mitigate business risks, strengthen governance frameworks, enhance internal controls and drive continuous process improvement across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive risk-based internal audit plan aligned with the Group's strategic objectives and risk profile. Conduct audits across financial, operational, commercial and compliance functions, evaluating the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control frameworks. Assess compliance with company policies, delegated authorities, regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Review business processes to identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies and opportunities to improve performance and reduce risk. Prepare high-quality audit reports and present findings, recommendations and action plans to the CFO and senior leadership. Provide independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of financial reporting, operational processes and key business controls. Monitor the implementation of agreed audit recommendations and validate the effectiveness of corrective actions through follow-up reviews. Lead or support special investigations, fraud reviews and ad hoc assignments as required. Build strong relationships across the business, acting as a trusted advisor while maintaining independence and objectivity. Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline. Master's degree is preferred. Professional qualifications such as CIA, CISA, CA, ACCA or CFE are highly desirable. Minimum of 15 years' experience in Internal Audit, Risk or Assurance within large, complex organisations. Candidates with an Engineering background and significant exposure to procurement, contract management, capital projects or real estate development environments will be viewed favourably. Strong understanding of corporate governance, enterprise risk management, internal controls and financial auditing standards.
