Job Description : Exploration Manager SURINAME 15+ years experience Industry: Gold Mining Job Summary The Exploration Manager will lead and manage all mineral exploration activities to identify, evaluate, and develop new mineral resources. The role is responsible for planning exploration programs, supervising multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing technical leadership to support the company's long-term mining strategy. Key Responsibilities · Develop, implement, and oversee mineral exploration strategies to identify and evaluate new mineral deposits. · Plan, coordinate, and supervise exploration activities, including: o Geological mapping o Geochemical and geophysical surveys o Sampling programs o Drilling programs o Trenching o Exploration data collection · Lead geological interpretation, resource evaluation, and exploration planning. · Manage geological modeling and analyze exploration data using GIS and geological modeling software. · Prepare exploration budgets and ensure cost-effective project execution. · Develop technical reports, feasibility assessments, and progress updates for senior management. · Ensure all exploration activities comply with company policies, environmental regulations, and health & safety standards. · Lead and mentor multidisciplinary exploration teams while promoting high performance and collaboration. · Coordinate with Mining, Operations, Environmental, and Technical departments to support mine development projects. · Monitor exploration performance and recommend improvements to maximize resource potential. Qualifications · Bachelor's or Master's degree in: o Geology o Mining Engineering o Earth Sciences o Or a related discipline Experience · 1520 years of proven experience in mineral exploration, preferably in the gold mining industry. · Minimum 10 years of managerial or senior leadership experience. · Demonstrated experience managing large-scale exploration projects.
