Job Description : COMPOUNDING HEAD ROMANIA Open to International candidates INDUSTRY Pipes/Plastic/ PVC Compounding Manufacturing EXPERIENCE 15-20 Years ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced and results-driven leader to head our PVC Compounding operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in PVC compounding processes, production planning, process optimization, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives. TECHNICAL SKILLS Strong knowledge of PVC material compounding processes. Basic understanding of injection molding machines, machine types, and mold fitting. Hands-on experience in troubleshooting production and process issues. Ability to recommend process improvements and material optimization. Working knowledge of systematic problem-solving tools such as: 7 QC Tools Six Sigma Poka- Yoke Strong people management and leadership capabilities. BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES QUALIFICATION • Diploma in Plastics Engineering or • Post Graduate in Plastic Processing (CIPET or equivalent) from a recognized institute/university KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure operational effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the compounding department. • Lead and supervise daily production activities, manpower planning, work scheduling, training, and preventive maintenance. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. • Plan and coordinate machine setup and production schedules to achieve production targets. • Develop new formulations and recommend new raw material grades and compound improvements. • Plan, conduct, and evaluate trials for new raw materials and compounds. • Analyze trial results and communicate findings to the Technical Team. • Recommend new machinery, process upgrades, and technological improvements. • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization. • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and equipment availability. • Monitor and report Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) along with improvement plans to Plant Head and Management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
