PLANT MANAGER
20 yearsJob Description : PLANT MANAGER CSD AND BEVERAGES TANZANIA We are seeking a highly qualified Plant Manager to oversee operations at our Water & CSD beverage manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will possess 1020 years of demonstrated expertise in the beverage industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a robust background in engineering. Key Responsibilities: Direct daily plant operations with a focus on optimizing efficiency, maintaining high quality standards, and upholding safety protocols. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams encompassing production, maintenance, and quality assurance departments. Spearheading maintenance and upkeep of all plant from plastics, to water treatment, to packing lines and all utilities. Ensure adherence to all regulatory and environmental compliance requirements. Develop and manage annual operating budgets and capital expenditure plans. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, and implement corrective actions as needed. Drive employee engagement through mentoring, coaching, and training programs. Foster a culture of accountability and teamwork within the plant. Oversee supply chain logistics, inventory management, and procurement processes. Manage relationships and communications with external vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Prepare regular operational reports for senior management and recommend strategic improvements. Implement sustainability initiatives and support corporate social responsibility goals. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline). 10–12 years of relevant experience within beverage manufacturing, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity. In-depth knowledge of bottling lines, utility management, blowing and injection machinery, production planning, reverse osmosis systems, project execution, and maintenance procedures. Advanced proficiency in manufacturing software (e.g., ERP, MES). Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies will be an advantage. Proven track record of implementing cost-reduction and productivity-enhancement initiatives. Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations specific to food and beverage manufacturing. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Blended experience of working in Africa and abroad will be highly advantageous.
