Location: Lagos (Head Office) Salary: Attractive & Negotiable Industry: Manufacturing (Lubricants, Chemicals & Plastics) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role Rekrut HR Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a reputable manufacturing company for an experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO). The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversee the company's end-to-end operations across lubricant manufacturing, additives and chemicals importation, distribution, and plastic manufacturing. This executive role requires a visionary leader with a proven ability to drive operational excellence, improve efficiency, optimize supply chains, and lead high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's business objectives. - Oversee manufacturing operations to maximize productivity, quality, and efficiency. - Lead procurement, importation, supply chain, warehousing, logistics, and distribution functions. - Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Ensure compliance with HSE, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements. - Monitor operational KPIs and implement performance improvement strategies. - Manage operational budgets, cost optimization, and resource allocation. - Build and lead high-performing operations, plant, and supply chain teams. - Strengthen supplier relationships and improve supply chain resilience. Requirements - Bachelor's Degree/HND in Engineering, Industrial Sciences, Operations Management, Industrial Management, or a related discipline. - MBA or relevant Master's degree is required. - Minimum of 12–15 years' progressive operations leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive role. - Strong experience in manufacturing, preferably within lubricants, chemicals, plastics, fuel, or related industrial sectors. - Proven experience managing multi-site or multi-business operations. - Strong background in supply chain management, procurement, import/export logistics, and manufacturing operations. - COREN certification is an added advantage. - Excellent leadership, strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder management skills. - Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, quality management systems (ISO), and operational excellence frameworks.
