Head of Procurement

Job Description : Head of Procurement Location: Harare, Zimbabwe Industry: FMCG / Food & Home Care Manufacturing Experience: 10-12+ Years Job Responsibilities · Lead the end-to-end procurement function across raw materials, packaging and indirect categories. · Develop and implement strategic sourcing and category management strategies. · Manage procurement of food ingredients, edible oils, home & personal care raw materials and packaging materials. · Drive supplier development, vendor negotiations, cost savings and supplier performance. · Manage international sourcing, imports, freight, customs and foreign suppliers. · Monitor commodity prices and develop cost-effective sourcing strategies. · Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to manufacturing operations. · Establish procurement processes, SOPs, governance and performance KPIs. · Lead and develop the procurement team and work closely with Production, QA, R&D, Finance and Supply Chain. Mandatory Candidate Requirements · 10-12+ years of procurement experience, with minimum 4-5 years in a senior procurement leadership role. · Mandatory experience in FMCG manufacturing. · Candidates from companies manufacturing Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Sauces & Condiments, Edible Oils, Soaps, Detergents, Home Care or Personal Care products will be preferred. · Strong experience in raw material + packaging procurement. · Exposure to international sourcing/import procurement is essential. · Should have worked with a reputed organization with 500 Cr+ annual turnover. · Strong commercial negotiation, supplier management and cost optimization experience. · ERP exposure such as SAP / Oracle / Microsoft Dynamics preferred. · Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Commerce or related field.
