Job Description : BUSINESS UNIT HEAD UGANDA Business Unit Head to work closely with the Country Manager in a fast-paced environment that offers ample opportunities to learn and expand your experience and expertise. Job Summary As a Business Unit Head, your key tasks include: Achieving budgeted revenue and profitability targets through strategic planning and disciplined execution of marketing and operational initiatives within defined budgets. Building and leading a high-performing team with a growth mindset, ensuring achievement of division objectives and sustained performance excellence, and coaching and developing sales managers, brand executives, and field staff to maximize engagement, productivity, and leadership capacity within the team. Designing and implementing innovative marketing and sales strategies to build brands, drive demand, and increase the divisions market share in a competitive landscape. Monitoring and analyzing regional sales performance, ensuring consistent achievement of targets through adaptive strategies and market intelligence. Strengthening relationships with KOLs, distribution partners, and key business influencers while ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies. Supporting the Country Head by aligning divisional sales strategies with corporate objectives, while maintaining a strong focus on sustainable growth and brand building. Qualification & Experience Applications are invited from interested candidates who meet the following criteria: Graduate degree in Science or Pharmacy (B.Sc / B.Pharm), with PGDBM / MBA as an added advantage. 12–15 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, including at least 4–5 years in a high managerial role, with hands-on understanding of therapeutic areas, brand-building strategies, product life cycles, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Skills & Knowledge The ideal candidate is action-oriented, highly driven, and strategic, with a structured and focused approach to execution. They bring exceptional leadership, team-building, and relationship management skills, along with an ability to adapt in culturally diverse and evolving market conditions. A deep understanding of pharmaceutical sales, sharp business acumen, competitive awareness, and strong presentation skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and basic exposure to digital trends or AI-based solutions will be advantageous.
