Job Description : ENGINEERING HEAD THAILAND FOR PACKAGING AND CONTAINERS Engineering Head with a strong background in Electronics, Automation, PLCs, VFDs, and SCADA systems. The candidate should have excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment. The Engineering Head will lead the Electrical, Mechanical, Utilities, Projects, Reliability, and Automation functions of the plant. The role is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability, safe operation, optimum maintenance cost, statutory compliance, and successful execution of capital projects to support uninterrupted production. This position is best preferred for candidates from the BOPET/BOPP film manufacturing industry or other continuous process industries with strong exposure to automation and process equipment. Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering. 1420 years of engineering experience in manufacturing industries. Minimum 8 years in a leadership role managing plant maintenance and engineering teams. Strong experience in PLC, VFD/Drives, SCADA, and Industrial Automation. Experience in continuous process manufacturing such as BOPET, BOPP, Packaging, Polymer, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Steel, Cement, Paper, or similar industries. Candidates from Brueckner or Dornier BOPET/BOPP plants will be given preference. Maintenance Experiences with other Engineering sections like Electrical/Mechanical/Utility. Key Responsibilities Lead the Electrical, Mechanical, Utilities, Reliability, Projects, and Automation departments. Ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability for continuous plant operation. Troubleshoot and modify PLC, VFD, Servo Drives, SCADA, HMI, and industrial control systems. Work closely with the Production team to minimize downtime and improve plant efficiency. Plan and execute preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions. Manage annual maintenance shutdowns and ensure timely completion of all engineering activities. Develop maintenance strategies to improve machine reliability and reduce maintenance costs. Prepare and control engineering budgets, spare parts inventory, and maintenance costs. Ensure statutory, environmental, and safety compliance. Lead engineering projects, machine upgrades, automation improvements, and energy-saving initiatives. Develop and mentor engineering teams while driving a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement. Manage OEMs, contractors, and engineering service providers.
